Mrs. Olayemi Oyebanji, the First Lady of Ekiti State, expressed admiration for Damilola Adeparusi’s ambition to surpass Hilda Baci’s achievement.
Damilola embarked on her cooking journey on Friday and aims to cook for 120 hours, surpassing Hilda’s previous record.
Notably, Hilda Baci made history recently by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking session.
Baci cooked for 100 hours, surpassing the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.
While Hilda Baci received acclaim for her accomplishment, Damilola has already cooked for 83 hours, surpassing the record held by the Akwa Ibom chef.
Taking to Twitter, the First Lady of Ekiti State encouraged Nigerians to celebrate Damilola’s bold pursuit.
“Over the past 70 hours, Chef Dammy (@dammypas), a determined undergraduate from Ekiti, has captivated us with her courageous attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
“To me, her bravery and unwavering dedication to promoting something positive through her innate talent is truly commendable.
