The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Command, has revealed that all 189 individuals apprehended for various traffic offenses in October have received education on safety regulations.
During the month, there were no recorded fatalities, with 432 road traffic offenders apprehended. Out of this total, 189 individuals were provided with education on safety regulations. The statement was issued by Mr. Henry Benamaisia, the FRSC Sector Commander, through the command’s spokesperson, Mr. Abiola Useini, in Osogbo on Wednesday.
Benamaisia commended the officers and men of the command for their efforts, which contributed to the absence of fatalities in October. He mentioned that there was only one lone accident, and the driver emerged unharmed.
In addition to law enforcement activities, the FRSC conducted 24 radio programs and four television programs to raise awareness about safety regulations. Benamaisia emphasized the importance of shared responsibility in ensuring safety on highways and preventing accidents that could result in loss of lives and property.
He advised motorists to adopt defensive driving techniques to mitigate the risk of unexpected accidents on the highways.
