
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has assured National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members of his administration’s commitment to renovate and enhance facilities at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state, transforming it into a world-class center. The governor made this announcement at the closing ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II orientation course held at Wailo.
Represented by his Deputy, Auwal Jatau, Governor Mohammed emphasized that the renovation is part of the government’s genuine commitment to providing a conducive environment for corps members during orientation programs. He expressed gratitude to the corps members for their resilience and determination despite the challenges posed by the camp’s infrastructure.
Governor Mohammed urged the corps members to embrace the skills acquired during the orientation exercise, emphasizing the importance of becoming creators rather than job seekers. He assured them that their service year in Bauchi State would be pleasant and memorable, with the government prioritizing their welfare and security.
The State Coordinator of NYSC, Rifkatu Yakubu, commended the corps members for their maturity and expressed gratitude to the governor for prioritizing their welfare. The Commissioner of Youth and Sports in the State, Salees Gamawa, urged the corps members to support the state government in implementing developmental policies and programs for the benefit of all citizens.
