Renowned US actor Jamie Foxx and Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose are confronting sexual assault allegations in lawsuits filed on Wednesday in New York, just before the expiration of the statute of limitations. Actress and model Sheila Kennedy has accused Axl Rose of sexually assaulting her in 1989, invoking the New York Adult Survivors Act, which enables the litigation of sexual assault cases that occurred too long ago. In Jamie Foxx’s case, the accuser, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that Foxx used force without consent to offensively touch her at a Manhattan rooftop bar in 2015. Both lawsuits seek punitive damages and jury trials, with the allegations against Axl Rose involving forced anal sex and claims of abuse of celebrity status. Axl Rose has not made any public comments on the allegations, and Jamie Foxx, known for his versatility in acting, comedy, and music, now faces a challenging legal battle. The lawsuits follow a recent rape complaint filed against rapper Sean Combs, which was later resolved through an undisclosed settlement.
