Ahman Pategi University in Kwara State has announced the appointment of Prof. Kazeem Gbolagade as its new vice chancellor. Prof. Gbolagade, from the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Information & Communication Technology at Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, will succeed the outgoing vice chancellor, Prof. Mahfouz Adedimeji, who will conclude his service on February 28, 2024. The appointment, which aligns with the university’s law, is for a single term of five years. Dr. Nimota Akanbi, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, expressed confidence that Prof. Gbolagade would contribute significantly to building a strong foundation for the university, describing the appointment as well-deserved. Prof. Gbolagade previously served as the Head of the Department of Computer Science at KWASU and held various leadership positions within the institution.
