Street-hop artist Portable has responded to his colleague Goya Menor’s condescending remarks about him in an interview. Goya Menor had dismissed Portable as a musician and suggested that Portable had issues with himself. He used the elephant and dog illustration to explain their situation, implying that Portable was insignificant in comparison.
In response, Portable made a video criticizing Goya Menor’s “You cannot compare Portable to me” remark. He sarcastically laughed while bombarding Goya Menor with questions to scorn him. Portable asked how many hits Goya Menor had, how many shows he had gone to, how many endorsements he had received, and how many cars he had bought.
Portable also mocked Goya Menor’s award, saying that the people who gave him the award now regretted it. Goya Menor had won the “Best Street Hop Award” at the 2022 Headies, a category that also featured Portable. It is believed that Portable’s resentment towards Goya Menor stems from the latter winning the award that Portable believed should have gone to himself, Olamide, and Poco Lee for their “Zazoo Zehh” collaboration.
