Yari to senators: Disregard religion, ethnicity when choosing next senate president
Former Governor of Zamfara state, Abdul’aziz Yari, who previously declared his intention to run for the office of Senate President, has congratulated the senators-elect and advised them to elect a compassionate, honest, fair-minded and result-driven Senate President who would avoid religious, tribal and ethnic sentiments. In a statement, Yari emphasized the need for senators to remember that they are indebted to their constituencies and should work towards attracting development projects to their people. He encouraged the senators to partner with President-elect Bola Tinubu in achieving the economic agenda of the country and to see their journey as an opportunity to unify Nigeria and rebuild the country. Yari expressed confidence that the 10th assembly would make Nigeria a better place.
