Following reports of a tricycle rider stabbing his passenger over a ₦50 change, youth in Bayelsa State have erupted into heavy protests. According to Tribune Online, the tricyclist was stoned to death for his actions. The incident occurred at the Saptex junction of the Mbiama-Yenagoa road at around 5 pm on Wednesday, causing heavy traffic and panic among onlookers. An eyewitness reported that irate youths assaulted the tricyclist and set other tricycles on fire at the scene, as captured in a viral video.
