The University of Port Harcourt is mourning the loss of its Director of Works, Frank Ogali, who passed away in a car accident near the institution’s main gate on Wednesday night. This tragic event occurred just days after the university announced the death of its fifth Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nimi Briggs.
The university’s Public Relations Officer, Sam Kpenu, confirmed Ogali’s passing and expressed his condolences. Kpenu remarked that Ogali was a great colleague and had made significant improvements in the quality of services provided by the Works and Services department since he took over.
Ogali’s remains have been taken to the mortuary, and the university community is saddened by the loss of another member so soon after the passing of their former Vice-Chancellor.
