In Kaduna state, terrorists, known as bandits, have kidnapped no less than 10 students from a government secondary school in the Kachia Local Government Area, as confirmed by the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement on Monday. The Commissioner stated that the exact location of the incident is yet to be verified, and detailed reports are awaited to clarify if the students’ abduction happened within the school premises or somewhere else. On Sunday, SaharaReporters reported that Amnesty International lambasted the Nigerian government for its inability to put an end to frequent deadly attacks and killings in the Southern part of Kaduna State, where hundreds of residents have lost their lives to insurgents. In December 2022, no fewer than 38 people were killed in several attacks, while 25 people were killed in March 2023, according to Amnesty International.
