The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) has taken action against Ready Finance Investors Limited, sealing its premises due to involvement in illegal investments and other illicit capital market activities. The closure is part of SEC’s ongoing efforts to eliminate fraudulent capital market operators and create a conducive environment for legitimate businesses in Nigeria’s capital market. The company, located in the Garki Area of Abuja, was shut down for promoting financial investment services resembling a covert Ponzi scheme. Ready Finance Investors Limited is not registered with the Commission for capital market activities, making its operations illegal. The matter is now under investigation by law enforcement agencies for potential criminal prosecution.
