
During the official launch event of two books about President Muhammadu Buhari, guests demonstrated their enthusiasm by collectively spending over N500 million to acquire copies.
The State House Banquet Hall in Abuja hosted the ceremony, where the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, unveiled the books.
The first book, titled “State of Repair: How Muhammadu Buhari Tried to Change Nigeria for Good,” was authored by Antony Goldman, while the second book, “The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari,” was written by Senator Abu Ibrahim.
Abdulsamad Rabiu, the Executive Chairman of BUA Group, took the lead by purchasing copies of the books for N200 million. Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of Dangote Group, and Muhammed Indimi, the Chairman of Oriental Energy Resources, acquired copies of both books for N100 million each.
In addition, President-elect Bola Tinubu and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima obtained copies for a combined sum of N40 million.
Former Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and Prof. Abubakar Abba, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, were entrusted with reviewing the respective books.
