Kizz Daniel had previously released the hit singles Buga and RTID in 2022 and 2023, respectively, both of which topped charts for several weeks and were highly engaging. Shu-peru’s release was announced on Kizz Daniel’s verified page, where he also revealed that the song was produced by @rewardbeatz and @roclegion, directed by @boy_director, and featured technicians @johnnydrille and @jaycenjoshua.
