In an interview with SEYI SOKOYA, Pastor Olubamiji Adeosun, the General Overseer of the Church of God Nigeria and a lawyer, talks about his life after turning 70 and the essence of the church. Adeosun expresses his gratitude to God for guiding him to this point in his life and launching his autobiography titled “Awesome Grace.” He notes that his experience as a church leader and a lawyer has been due to God’s grace. Adeosun says that the popular saying that lawyers are liars is not true because the foundation of church doctrines today was laid by a lawyer, Apostle Paul, who used his knowledge to help the early church. Additionally, he says that telling lies is not unique to lawyers and that the law can sometimes present challenges that make lawyers appear dishonest.
