
Abdusamad Dasuki, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been announced as the winner of the Kebbe/Tambuwal federal constituency election in Sokoto State by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The returning officer, Professor Abubakar Sidiq Muhammed, revealed on Sunday morning that Dasuki secured 47,317 votes, defeating his closest opponent, Kokani Bala Kebbe of the APC, who garnered 34,282 votes. Dasuki, who served in the Federal House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019 before he was defeated by Kokani during the 2019 general elections, will be returning to the National Assembly for a second term to replace Kokani Bala Kebbe of the APC. Additionally, Dasuki is a former Commissioner for Finance.
