Dr. Salaudeen Munirudeen, a lecturer at the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), has urged parents to focus on building a future for their children rather than relying on buying one for them. He made this call at the 4th Ramadan Lecture, organized by the PSSDC Muslim Community, held at the PSSDC Library in Magodo, Ikeja.
Speaking on the theme of ‘Preparing Our Youths for National Development in a Digital World’, Munirudeen emphasized the importance of parents preparing their children for the future through hard work, rather than relying on shortcuts. He believes that this approach will contribute to the preparation of youths for national development in the digital age.
Munirudeen listed several ways in which parents can build a future for their children, including training them in the way of God, guiding them in proper perspectives, and instructing them on what is and isn’t appropriate. He also encouraged parents to monitor their children’s spiritual growth, keep an eye on their digital world, and continually pray for them.
In conclusion, Munirudeen advised parents to reduce their social activities and focus more on their children’s development to prepare them for national development. The Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Tajudeen Ekunsumi, expressed gratitude to the committee members for their support and cooperation in making the lecture a success.
