
Alex Okoroji, a famous actress, is breaking new grounds in the film, television, and voice industries, despite being away from the screen for some time. In an interview with The Nation, she spoke about her recent activities, including writing books, doing voice acting, working for G100 (a group of 100 global women leaders), and working as the Director of Brand Communication and Relations for the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). She aims to facilitate an organic relationship between AGN and other organizations and brands. Furthermore, Okoroji talked about the progress Nollywood has made outside Nigeria, with more awareness and collaborations with Hollywood. She also revealed her plans for upcoming projects in film, television, and voice acting. Okoroji believes that voice acting is a lucrative industry in Nigeria, and there is a broad range of opportunities available, such as podcasting and dubbing. Lastly, she expressed her interest in starting a media company and acknowledged the possibility of becoming the “Oprah Winfrey of Nigeria.”
