Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have announced their intention to present a maximum of 100 witnesses in their petition challenging the election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).
During the proceedings in Abuja, their lawyer, Chris Uche (SAN), shared this information on Saturday. He stated that the 100 witnesses would include both those already listed and those who will be subpoenaed to testify.
Abubakar Mahmud SAN, the lawyer representing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), mentioned that his client plans to call two witnesses.
On the other hand, President-elect Bola Tinubu is expected to present 39 witnesses, in addition to those who will be subpoenaed. The All Progressives Congress (APC) also intends to call 25 witnesses, apart from those who will be subpoenaed.
